What are we going to do with the orguinette bottom?
This is a list tasks and experiments to figure out what to do with that cranked bellows box.
Bellows
Bellows
Here's what's inside this box. There are three bellows that are pumped by a crankshaft and a fourth bellows that appears to be a reservoir. It looks like these bellows are designed for suction rather than positive pressure.

Directions label
I found this label inside the box. It says,
DIRECTIONS.
Keep all the frictional parts carefully lubricated with tallow. If there should be any squeaking in joints inaccessible to tallow, use a small drop of kerosene oil. If the Rubbers on the music feeding rollers, the reeds, or any other of the operating parts of the instrument should give out, you can have them duplicated, at a trifling cost, by applying to us. See that the upper feed roller always revolves with the lower feed roller connected with the turn handle. In putting on new rubbers use a little water or alcohol to make them slip on easily.
